Your support will
- Help fund comprehensive content development for an advanced and unique program for pastoral training and church planting that will improve the success of both in a post-Christian era. Building upon LCIN’s already successful model, this program can then be used by confessional Lutheran churches throughout the world as a “how-to” guide for developing successful church planting initiatives of their own.
- Help fund recruitment, training, ordination, and placement of promising individuals to begin new congregations in Norway and beyond. This training includes at least one year at Concordia Seminaries in either Ft. Wayne, IN or St. Louis, MO. LCIN’s training and church-planting methodology has continued to demonstrate beyond-normal-growth in a post-Christian cultures.
- Help fund teacher training for individuals that will help to qualify them to enter a Norway-sponsored PhD program. Once awarded a PhD, they can begin teaching pastoral students at the LCIN’s “Ad-Fontes” pastoral training center.
- Help fund up to 40% of limited pastor salary positions for pastors starting new congregations. The pastors’ remaining, unfunded salaries will be supplemented by the work of those pastors in secular, part-time positions. As their congregations grow, they will eventually fund 100% of the pastors’ salaries.
- Help fund a larger pastoral training facility that will be better equipped and more conducive to learning than what is being used currently. The new facility will be better able to attract quality pastoral recruits and to graduate highly educated and motivated church-planting pastors long into the future.
All donations collected will go toward one or more of the preceding ministries. What better way to support the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ than by supporting the successful work of the Lutheran Church in Norway!
A prayer for the ministries of the Lutheran Church in Norway…
Lord God almighty. The world is an increasingly dark place in this post-Christian era. So that Christianity might survive and thrive in this hostile environment, we need faithful, dedicated, young men to step forward for training in theology, so they can lead us as capable pastors. Please bless and provide the Ad-Fontes Pastoral Training Program with good teachers, motivated students, and a permanent home for its training program. Please provide generous donors who are passionate about educating pastors to fund the new facility… wherever You Lord decide that will be.
In the book of Matthew chapter 28, You have commanded us to go forth and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. In the book of Acts chapter 14, we are told “How will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Lord, please provide pastors who are willing to go out and teach and preach the Gospel to those who need to hear it. Provide pastors who are willing to be bold for you Lord. Give them the strength to persist, the wisdom to teach Your truth, and the patience to allow the Holy Spirit to work within those people to whom the Gospel has been shared.
